Do Social workers offer therapy?

We do! Social work is one of those broad professions in which you’ll find workers employed in a wide range of areas from advocacy, policy development, child welfare, community work, therapy, and more. In order to offer therapy as a social worker in British Columbia, you must prove your competence. Part of the registration requirement of the British Columbia College of Social Workers is passing the Association of Social Work Boards Master’s exam. RSWs are also required to complete 40 hours per year of continuing professional development. My BCCSW registration number is 14654.

The competency-based accreditation I have as a registered social worker (RSW) is led by a strict governing body; this level of registration required references from other Master’s level RSWs, the degree plus work experiences, criminal record checks, vulnerable sector checks, regular professional development, and a comprehensive examination which tests the clinician’s ability to provide the highest level of care.

Do you offer evening and weekend appointments?

Currently offering week day daytime and evening appointments.
